INTERNATIONAL LINES WITH ITALY

There is a significant fall in 2015. for Jadrolinija's all year round international line Split – Ancona and the seasonal ones Dubrovnik – Bari and  Zadar – Ancona. 168 207 passangers and 31 883 vehicules were transported or 24% of passangers and 16,3% vehicules.

In order to racionalize running of the business and cost reductions, the timetable  was reduced in 2015 or 28 travels less than in 2014. The main reason why was less demand for ferry transprt due to development of new airlines Rome – Split, Split – Naples and the beginning of the hydroplanes lines.

There were less Italian passangers in pilgrimage to Međugorje and tourism travels as an economy crisis consequence in Italy.

Split – Ancona line has less transported passangers or 34,5% and 19,3% transported vehicules. Revenues decrease is 25,5.  The decrease in transport on this line is aslo due to increase of the competition lines (78 more travels during the season) that had joint timetable and ticket sales and the cabin standard offer as well.
